Not only did we get the Asura that Saint Germaine has been wearing since Banga arc (which explains his lust for mystical powers), but also the small copies, his lures and Numb-nuts' motivation (great nickname by Grandma and see, this is why I like DanDaDan, you can't hate the bad guys, except those shitty aliens that destroyed Vamola's world).
And was that policeman-san a.k.a. 'Brella Boy's foster father?
Anyone knows Japanese and the Japanese chapter? I'm just a bit curious about the "magi" translation. It sounds... weird to me, wouldn't shinto priest or shaman sound better?

So those knives are part of a sword set. Similar concept to some european swords that had pockets in their scabbards for matching knives and/or cutlery. I did a little search and it seems the term for the knife itself would be kogatana, while kozuka is just the decorated handle.

I like the overall direction the plot is taking and all but that dying wife backstory seems so cliché and lazy...

It's fine, hopefully he'll just be a throwaway character for easy drama-farming.
You know you got a good cast when another character shows up and you're like "yooo, it's that guy!"
