She never really had any romantic interest in Okarun, because she doesn't understand such feelings.

To her, the only reason she was interested in Okarun was the "words of her Mom" and Okarun filling those criteria.

Its possible that if someone better than Okarun appears, she might select that person and move away from Okarun, if by then she understands about romantic feelings stuff.

Heck, she never really met a Male in her whole life until just before her escape from her home planet.
