This is a great chapter for a romance plot, as it shows well written loser hero/ines that can one feels bad for and see that in another life, they could have gotten their happy ending.

However let's be honest, the same die for our ship, why haven't male lead and female lead hook up already crowd that would have dropped the series long ago if they actually got their wish are gonna call it the worst thing ever, never forget ch 92, etc. etc. 🙄

The main pair shippers are in famine with this chapter, just miserable all around if you want them to get together. Also, what about Kinta's haircut? Come on, show us the action!

We've been slowly finding out how much saint asshole's been undermining the heroes physically and emotionally. Phinnocho could be influencing all involved to act this way, disguised as an NTR arc.

What's going on with Tatsu, he's been taking a lot of breaks recently and now he's taking a one month break after baiting the readers like this.

Edit: Never mind, it seems like it was a printing error, either that or his editor pulled his ass from his intended 1 month break after the chapter's reception lol

It's not a pivot at all. It's just ending the Aira and Jiji subplots. Okarun obviously doesn't like Aira romantically and Momo feels calmer because she doesn't have to see Okarun (the one who makes her chest feel tight). The reason they separated on this trip was because Momo felt uncomfortable with her feelings towards Okarun, the jealousy she was feeling last chapter. The point of the chapters title will be that Aira and Jiji are great friends but not romantic partners.

I know we'll use this arc to fully end the Aira and Jiji pinning but it wasn't needed. They've decided to drag the Momo/Okarun romance as long as possible lately out of some fear; so it's not a surprise that we're using amnesia explicitly as yet another excuse to run from the confession they both already made 70 chapters ago. I'm just hoping this arc is the last delay and by the time it's done Okarun and Momo are dating as they should've been already. We don't need another random event to coincidentally separate them for 70 more chapters.
Technically only Okarun confessed. Momo has never said it outright. She keeps delaying it because of an issue. Okarun has done majority of the work advancing the relationship. The author is making him suffer unnecessarily.

This drama is 100% getting dragged out further. Remember when Momo told him not to cheat on her until she’s big again? I bet she regains her memories and sees Okarun and Aira “flirting” and accuses him of cheating. Then Okarun accuses her of flirting with Jiji at the aquarium and there’s a temporary falling out.

I wonder if I might just start skipping chapters until this is over like I've been skipping Anjou-san chapter until the Chi stuff is done. If I have to read through this rage bait I might as well only do it once when I have the physical volume.

I feel drama coming. Okarun might think it's not good to force his feelings to Momo and give up on it. Then Momo will realize or remember her feelings towards Okarun but Okarun already give up and then Momo's turn to do something about it.

Well, I assume something like that. Not like I can tell what's author's thinking.

This chapter is a crime against Aira and Jiji for giving them false hope that will later be pulled away from them once Momo inevitably gets her memories back.
I don’t think Jiji has any false hope. He’s actually being a friend. His insistence that they’re “on a date” is teasing at best, and when Momo voiced discomfort he ceased it immediately (boys take note! 😤) His hand holding at the end of the chapter is for comfort, because Momo is having such a difficult time and he genuinely wants her to feel better, no matter what that entails for their relationship in the end.

As for Okarun, he’s both confused and sore about the whole situation. BUT: He also has a history of going along with strong willed female friend’s wishes. At the very beginning of the series before he and Momo even realised their feelings for each other Momo would often force him to hold her hand or other intimate situations and he would comply.

Just cos people be holding hands, don’t mean they necessarily have romantic feelings for each other. Friends can hold hands for comfort as well!!!

Except for Aira. She still down BAD!

It would actually be so funny if it turned out he was being 100% serious about this romantic direction.

Without taking any time to mourn the death of Chainsaw Man, soaring toward the battlefield was Fujimoto's former assistants - Yukinobu Tatsu. LMAO.
I know it's a bait but stilling annoying and dragging the prolong the story.
