There’s a difference between love and lust. What Aira was showcasing was her lust. Instead of asking Okarun on what’s bothering him, she just went straight to wanting to be a couple.

I highly (and respectfully) disagree ! She went straight to wanting to be a couple because she already knows what is bothering Okarun. She knows he likes Momo but with what just happend, she takes her chance. She isn't completely pure and innocent but if she loves him, it's quite natural to try this considering Momo and Okarun aren't dating yet (else it would be cheating and there she would be completely wrong)

Strange. I am certain I'm trying to read Dandadan but lately every chapter seems to be from part 2 of Chainsaw Man.

IMO what's currently happening to Dandadan (or rather NOT happening) is tons more annoying than Chainsaw Man part 2... and I do like Chainsaw Man part 2 (except the ending).

He's making him very inactive and meek for the plot and yeah that's not very satisfying. At least with Momo there's a valid reason for her haze and even then she's clearly struggling with these feelings for Okarun that she can't shake. He obviously feels the same but you'd expect him to do something more considering everyone knows she's lost her memory. Instead he's sort of resigned himself. I'm assuming it's building to their (and his) big moment but regressing him to get there feels like a waste.

And not even regression. It's just straight up out of character. He was never this disloyal to Momo. Even when they weren't an almost couple.

This is reaching Rent-a-Girlfriend levels of romantic stalling. Come on. Momo and Okarun’s dynamic felt more natural which was honestly, better, near the start of the manga than it does now, how is that even possible?? After all the build-up and after they were already on the verge of becoming a couple.

And amnesia arcs are already one of the most exhausting romance tropes because they often feel less like character writing and more like the author hitting a reset button to avoid payoff. And using one here, of all places, just to delay the main couple again? That is incredibly frustrating, I don't see him "cooking" anything here, and unless we see them being a couple after this arc, there will be no payoff at all.

The latest chapter makes it worse. Instead of deepening Momo and Okarun’s relationship, we get more misunderstanding bait, rage bait, ntr bait, more quasi-love-triangle framing, and more characters acting around the amnesia in ways that feel like manufactured drama rather than organic conflict.

He's outright downplaying Okarun's resolve... Like...FOR WHAT????????

Dandadan used to make their romance feel effortless inside all the supernatural chaos. Now the chaos feels like an excuse to stop the romance from moving forward.
