So when the guards were introduced both grade and class ranks were listed. So top 3 per class are the 3 official guards for that classes male student if there is one. Iirc Hinata is 3rd in class, 14th in grade meaning now she might be vulnerable to being passed if the re-ranking happens after a test this week for example.
The class may have been low motivation, particularly Yuri who until now did not want to have to be near the male student. They are all a bit more motivated to up their ranks, priorly the male was not present or before that a normal boy for the setting.

I don't know about fancy or being Japanese, but if a cafe has a second floor, one or more of these things must be true:

• Great quality
• Popular/viral
• Profitable
• Has a great location (especially in a high income area)
• Space is extremely limited and/or expensive (very applicable to Japan)
• Is a franchise

It doesn't seem like it's that full and there's a server so it's 100% not a Starbucks or similar at least.

I'm leaning towards having limited floor space as the reason. And since Sou's mom mentioned they live in a safe area, meaning they live somewhere that's at least middle-upper-middle class area.

Japan overall is a safe area though, like you can leave your phone on the table in a restaurant while you go to the bathroom, and still expect it to be there. The one thing that's changed in this isekai world is probably sexual assault and rape (female on male) is way WAY up.
