This is why hinata will come out on top.

534.webp

Afterwards there'll be a black page with a dialogue box in the center that essentially says that Hinata has a body that can easily get preggers, even tho she's using pills here.

I just reread what I wrote, this manga does weird things to me... :lul:
Don't worry... happens to everyone eventually.

By the way, Sumire is not a failure. She's an excellent Onee-chan by that worlds standards.

You need to keep in mind how she feels - that she still wants to grant and prioritizes Sou's wishes is a huge plus. Remember, it was Sumire who made Sou's school life possible. The other two would have flat out denied it and locked him up. Sumire is also the one who guards him the most outside, so she does a lot for him. Despite her flaws, she's quite a solid choice.
Sumire is older and has the required skills to handle pests (Karate), she's caring in her own way, quite thoughtful and reflects on mistakes. And yes, she certainly has loose screws but her antics are fun to watch - not just that, her looks are top notch. Finally, she doesn't hide her bad habits, it's "what you see is what you get".

As Sou I wouldn't touch her (she's blood related), but apart from that? She'd be on the list for sure. Right after Kana (finances, she has the background to manage a large household) and Yuri (food is essential, Yuri loves cooking and baking)... Sumire in combination with the Konno twins would be my personal guard team leader.

I don't remember, where was this said? Which chapter, if you recall?
Her character profile:
Hobbies: Cooking and making sweets
Favorite Food: Chocolate Cookies
Likes: Recreating dishes she sees on TV
She's probably not on a chef's level but we are talking about her hobby, so Yuri will definitely invest time and effort into it to produce something she can be proud of. We should assume she's quite good if she recreates stuff from TV.
(otherwise the comment would probably read: "Yuri is able to create Dark Matter from scratch.")

To clarify for anyone confused "the legal wife" refers to the fact that in Japanese law, you can be prosecuted for even attempting to have more than one legal marriage. Now, I don't know if this extends to behavior and common law marriage in name but not paperwork.

But i do know from research that having a harem in Japan is not illegal, but only one woman can be legally recognized as your wife. And adultery is only a civil offense against marriage not a criminal one.

Meanwhile in America, polygamy is illegal (a crime) in all 50 states, (not enforced). But adultery is only illegal in 16 (also rarely enforced).
---

Which means: in both America and Japan you can have a harem in ways:
- 1. marry one woman and treat the rest as unofficial extras living together.
- 2. marry one woman and cheat on her with all the other women.
- 3. mary none of them and hide them from each other by having no official family.
- 4. Mary none of them and try to treat them all equally.

Why is that a problem? Because benefits or not, you can't marry all of them and not put one above the other. Unless you were to do religious-only marriages (no legal paperwork) for all of them and treat them equally that way.

---

---

TLDR: i don't like "she's definitely gonna be "the legal wife " because it creates a status symbol for infighting that i think is inappropriate for a loving arrangement. (Some may argue that poly relationships are never loving, but that's besides the point, if they ever are loving; then putting one above the rest just for pride/favouritism is still not loving.)
Just a PS i thought of:
I don't have a problem with the idea or practice of having a head wife for the sake of maintaining order in terms of time shares and dividing chores or resources; or even just because she found him first. But putting one wife above the others just to call her the best pisses me off.

More than that there is a legal necesscity when there are many wives. While there can be division of responsibilities, but someone will be needed for leadership.

It boils down to how such a family would be organized. There's a huge difference between a situation where everyone actually lives together under the same roof and the man and his wives share pretty much everything... or a setup where the man is more like a shared asset (on a rotation schedule) and only lives with one of his women at a time. Like, the women each live in their own respective household with their kid(s) without much interference from each other and the guy shows up for a limited time.

The need to agree on a head wife, legal wife or however you may call her, depends on the overall scale as well... if a man has two wives there would likely be no need, but if you have half a dozen or even more? Definitely! The wives neet to agree on and appoint one among them, if only to handle arguments and stress. If they cannot do that, forget living together. It's bound to fail, and it will be worse if the guy has to handle disputes among the ladies... if he's forced to choose, it won't end well.

lmao surprised they admitted it versus like putting a hood over him but i feel like the barista would've 'smelled his pheremones' tho interesting he went there once before

are cafes in JP that fancy? To have a 'second floor' versus a restaurant renting out/booking a space lol
I mean, where I live some cafes have second floors and some don't. There are cafes that could fit in a bathroom, and cafes bigger than a house.

EXACTLY! I'm glad I'm not alone in feeling this way about it.

Even if the husband is a shared resource, one of the women has to manage his time so that he isn't left constantly worried about playing favorites.
