From what is shown by far, male in the setting is treated and act like KING, but it is an illusion that can fall apart anytime IF a woman snaps and ride him to the moon and back.
So the man will not even look after the house, the woman still takes care of house AND making a living, which is not hard to imagine with today's standard.

A chapter in franken fran manga showed a good example in a setting where man seen as trophy and woman are the majority, the woman will compete in ANYTHING to have the BEST MAN all for herself. Of course it is just a fiction, but these days it feels that woman superiority complex/rivalry makes any man rivalry looked cute...
