Pretty sure Aya/Kaede got hugged already, no? Kaede even dreamt up an isekai scenario because of it.

Suzuki about to have an amazing character arc.

Given how he is seen as "kind" to girls by this world's male standards, I believe he likely already has a lot of fans. Kakizaki did say that the girls in their class would lose their mind if Satou would go and get Suzuki's ass. XD

Btw, when did Hinata and Souta talk about Yuri? I just reread the series and yet I can't find/remember the scene where Hinata and Souta talked about Yuri's feelings for Miku. The "Sou-kun was pretty sure of that too..." also feels like there was a talk. Was it the café meeting before Satou's hiatus from school? But it was just a pretty broad, and clumsy, question from Satou. Maybe Hinata is just that aware of the girls and their feelings in class compared to Miku going from "who?" when it came to Yuri to "MY RIVAL!" after that elite display of guard behavior.

Little talk happened here. I think Hinata is speaking from her previous knowledge.

Miku was careless Hinata pointed.

Sou communicates with his guards/family/friends with his phone, maybe there. Also Yuri is not in his contact list yet, wonder what would they say about it.

The problem with Miku is that even though she is Sou's favourite and the most his type, Yuri is Kisa's favourite
In terms of attraction Sou's the most physically attracted to Miku.
The most emotionally attracted to Hinata.
And the most emotionally compatible with Yuri.

Sou thinks Miku's hot, sure. That's why in the R-18 version he fucks her first. She's hot and an easy fuck.
But personality-wise she's clingy, emotional, and spends a lot of time in her own head. And as the power-scaling table just showed: she has zero initiative.

And actually saying it out-loud it's sort of funny that, despite us calling a lot of the girls in the class femcels, ignoring how extremely horny and touch-starved they are they're actually pretty normal. And it's actually Miku who, despite presenting like an archetypical popular girl, is the closest to what we would consider an actual femcel. (Hell, she even masturbated in public)

It's sort of a nice object lesson on how it's cool and all to be impressive at an arm's length; unfortunately a girlfriend needs to get closer than an arm's length. How popularity with the same sex doesn't necessarily translate to popularity with the opposite sex. And how it's actually a pretty major handicap if your only experience with the opposite sex is being standoffish with them.

Hinata's my personal favorite and even I can admit that she's basically failing in the opposite direction. Being friends is an important prerequisite for a relationship. But now that she's friends with Sou... Now what? She barely understands what she actually wants from him let alone has any actual plan on how to take it further. Sure, Sou likes her on a personal level and leans on her the most out of his three guards. But she doesn't really offer Sou anything other than a vague feeling of safety. He only really has fun around Yuri and that's why she's his actual confidant who he seeks out to talk to. He only really talks to Hinata when she's already there.

Hinata is best girl; but the Hinata friendzone crashout arc is going to be legendary.

It seems like every class top scorer, the big three of said class is made up of these trope composition, lol
1. The leader (cuck) : Miku and Aya.
2. The soundminded (with some twist): Hinata and Hana.
3. The comedic relief: Kanaria and Kakizaki.

Souta and Yuri talking over the phone/writing messages would be dope.

Especially given how "sacred" girls treat even mere text messages from males and how Kakizaki "died" on the phone listening to Souta's voice/whisper asmr. XD
Same with Kanaria keeping a recording of that one praise about her hair.^^

Speaking of Kanaria, I thought of something else: In this chapter she thought of Yuri already as someone who might be indispensable for their harmonious future as co-wives. But at the end she thought "Or perhaps..."
Which made me wonder:
What kind of "families" exist in this world?
We know two forms so far:
The sole virgin mother with children due artificial insemination
The "co-wife" with one child who sees the husband once a week and is obsessed with "overwriting" the smell of the other sows on him (aka Hinata's experience with her mother).
It made me wonder if Kanaria was worried that Yuri might be so favored by Satou that she wouldn't just be "the first wife" (like Miku already believes she is herself aka she believes Souta will have many wives besides her) but actually "the sole wife" kinda like the usual family form in our world, but it would be highly unusual in their world.

Like if such a family form exists in the 1:39 world, how are such families treated?
Are such men considered "unmanly" because they dick only one woman? Are such women considered "tyrants" because they keep a single man to themselves instead of sharing? And what if the husband still provides monthly semen? Is it then better? Are such families considered abnormal and if yes, if they do exist are they hated or are people just jealous they don't have the same?

Like in our world with all the divorces, cheating, etc having someone who loves you their entire life and stays with you is already considered very romantically. How would the same scenario be looked at in a world where there's only one man for 39 women?

Wish I could ask the author that but I got no nitter and I dunno if they are on twitter or got fanmail where you can write such questions.

She has all reason to be careful. Because in a way Yuri is quite close to being the ideal woman. She's not physically imposing like Miku or radiating Yandere vibes like Hinata. In a way she's competing with Kana herself, having a small frame and Yuri is actually plenty cute, so she's less likely to induce fear in men. Especially so because until now she did not express being into males that much, if at all. She's not exuding lust like other girls in the class. Not to mention, Yuri is not failing in terms of her grades either, being rank #8 might not be at the top, but it's still in the upper part of the class. Tthe key point is that Yuri was disappointed by the guys she met and she probably stopped putting in her utmost effort after entering the academy. And yet, Yuri still achieved her rank. Just now she showed her "Dark Horse" power. Or rather, she demonstrated resilience of a level where even the actual three guards could hold their ground. It also left a positive impression on Sou's family - from Kanaria's point of view that's more than the guards achieved so far. So it's not hard to imagine what might happen if such a girl would actually meant business and took her training as a guard seriously. Yuri stated herself: "I'm a woman who can deliver"... and right now she demonstrated that she can. Now add the fact that she did not actively pursue Sou, but Sou went to her instead. Objectively speaking, Kana's worries are more than justified.

Like if such a family form exists in the 1:39 world, how are such families treated?
They would be treated like unicorns, Santa Clause or be on par with urban legends.

Let me elaborate my thoughts on the world a little.

From a woman's perspective, having a male for herself is probably a wet dream every girl has but the harsh reality check will come soon enough and real life offers anything but. The gender disparity is a major driver and the general view of incest being pretty much a-ok is another. A family who has a man will mostg likely protect him by all means (essentially lock him up). And a family with a boy might do worse... men growing up in such environments develop traits that make them distrust women or even hate them. In the odd case of a man being together with a woman he trusts and likes that still won't mean his obligations are lifted. He's permanently forced to donate sperm regularly because the nation cannot afford to be lenient with men when it comes to reproduction. The situation of humanity is just that desperate.

As such... I would assume single mother families are the norm by far. Some do have male offspring. Lucky them? Well... I have my doubts about that.

And there might be families who have an adult man (father)... likely a situation where the mother and daughters kept the son even after he grew up. Incest seems to be widely accepted, and if mothers educate their sons from ground up and the sisters also hold back enough to not make the guy hate them... who knows, it's probably not an unusual sight. Such families would maybe invite outside women at some point, but it might be the man's decision to accept them - forcing him would be against the law and in the end, it would make him hate it.

Usually boys will be sent to a male-only boarding school at some point... no clue what happens there, but it would mean they are separated from their families to some degree. What happens then we cannot know until more information on the world is confirmed by the author. If we assume that they continue to live independantly from their families at some point, then it likely comes to something like this:

Grown men who are not bound or confined by their family will need a dedicated escort (exclusive guard), it might be in form of a legally recognized contract which would mean the woman henceforth would live with him to protect him 24/7... you could probably call that contract marriage. It's probably also likely that a man will have at least two or three such guards so they will need to form teams or rotate shifts. The government will support that, hoping the guy donates sperm to his guards as well... It's probable that such a situation is considered "husband and wives" by the general public, because the concept of real marriage as such is outdated and close to impossible in such a society. At least if it comes to 1:1 marriages, those would be considered something belonging to the realm of ancient history or legends/fiction.
It then depends on whether the guy has some interest in women or not. If not, that would be it, he'd live with this guard(s) and do his thing (like, donate sperm and live off of his guards income like a leech). He probably won't touch the guards too much, if at all. But if he's actually interested in females, he'll pick girls he likes for escorts and might be happy enough with them.
But because of how guys are brought up, they often end up as abusive assholes or spoiled tyrants or become homos who hate women... the latter would stay isolated as much as possible, but the other two types could definitely exploit being a men. They use women they meet and dump them as they please - it's part of why women are desperate in that world. The few guys who genuinely care for women - they might exist, but they are so rare you won't ever meet one yourself. Look how the girls in the academy react to Sou and it tells you all you need to know. Most guys who deal with women are assholes and would probably have a so-called harem around, with a number of women they visit randomly. Such males would likely have their guards escort them to the woman, spend some time exploiting them or let them come over as he desires. It's a loveless life for girls and guys alike...

Wall of text... I'll better stop here.
