I have to say that her so-called divine glow doesn't really look healthy when you put that shadowy/dark overlay on it. First time I saw it, my thought was: "Maria used the wrong bleach (tritium peroxide ³H₂O₂) and the residual beta-decay makes her radiate".

I hope it doesn't affect the unborn 🤣

I looks fine below overlay layer. In this image, I have lifted that 'glow' above overlay, to illustrate the glow behind that dark background. It's not how original drawing was made.

You're right, it look too much Radio-active... more than healthy.
