If it's a comment direct under his post on Twitter. It gets like, if reply comes by him, it comes in same language.
But never a like for coloring his Manga. FanArt got likes from him.
Only Two colored post has got likes from him. That post was beginning of my coloring.
Yes, I remember he reacted on kakizaki fanwork.
I'm not sure he understand english properly, as sometimes translation app can gives weird result.
The thing with mangaka, a lot of them are seeing scanlation as something VERY negative, that it will kill the mangaka (which might be true if the manga turned really bad, but then why publish a BAD work to start with?)
A lot of them completely ignoring the benefits that comes from free translation done by passion and any work that stemmed from it in global, of which supporting the said work and mangaka in long run. Dragonball, sailor moon, kamen riders, are good mainstream examples.
What you doing in what he sees might be, someone who keep coloring over his actual work (vandalism?) without his given permission, that might be seen as negative (which I hope I am wrong in this and sensei might just shy to show his joy to see dedicated fanwork). Another thing to note, mangaka can be VERY PROTECTIVE of his work, sometimes to unhealthy degree (rent AHHHH girlfriend), and japan people 'phobia' on overseas people who speak english.
In making colored work, I am much better. Big difference is colored background.
My Background is hardwork, Color harmony is maintained. It's with cool and neutral tone I modulate saturation, so attention not get staryed. Also shading is done with gradient. Now I know who classroom. Hair has been is frustrating work.
As much as I like you for the coloring and making your own doujin, saying you are much better is something that should be avoided regardless how you think so, as seen in bleach daddy who challenge everyone to make better work themselves if they think bleach is bad (that actually it is due to how long it become, start was good)
Be satisfied with how good is your work, but don't boast about it if it is 'not' your work 100%.
