Hey this series is missing the psychological tag and the horror tag. Could someone update that as soon as possible?

Buddy. Friend. Compatriot.

Even with the full context we have as readers she's still undeniably fucking crazy. This is not even remotely rational behavior, no matter how lonely Seira is nor how well Masato treats her. Her fixation on him is beyond the pale. It's fine to feel bad for her circumstances, but don't let them serve as a justification for possessive obsession and literal stalking.

Eh, not really, would you change your entire personality in a week just because you wound up in a world where everything is the same except dating dynamics? I can imagine I might change my attitude to dating but I wouldn't stop being a friendly person in general because of it. People that would aren't really as nice as they think they are.

Except that we've been given backstory that shows he's had relationships blow up in his face over his "being nice to everyone" in the specific way that he does it.
And even if those past relationships ended because the girl had a twisted interpretation of his conduct toward other girls, he's doing the exact same thing here - and in a world where the ratio disparity between those two genders brings forth all manner of anxiety and aggression in women over fighting for limited male attention.

And it's not been that long; I do address that, and part of the issue of perception is that this is monthly so we get close to a year IRL for like a week in-story or so.

But he just seems completely ignorant of everything around him. Maybe it's just me, but if I woke up and found myself in an entirely different universe, I would have my head on a swivel getting the lay of the land and paying attention to everything to make certain I didn't run afoul of things being different than my home.

Boy's got no survival instincts and it's gonna bite him in the ass eventually.

Im looking forward to seeing how people react to the resolution. Sierra is pretty interesting. I personally found the resolution of her arc to be kinds lacking tho.
from what i remember of reading the webnovel she does have her big yandere moment (she goes to his house) but then starts regretting a lot of things (i gotta reread but it was kinda unsatisfying) she then becomes her old self basically and just continues what she does. The light novel might change things but her arc was kinda lackluster for me.Funny enough the JK Yuka is actually the most aggressive and is the first to confess as well as have Masato be more aware of the girls around him

Half your salary is nuts. Especially when he only works one day a week.
This is more realistic than you probably realize, too. It's extremely easy to live frugally in Japan, so for a woman with a secure, well-paying, white-collar career, dumping half her salary into attention and affirmation from a host is a terrifyingly affordable proposition. So terrifying in fact that it's a very real, and indeed not uncommon, phenomena.

Many of these people have no real hobbies or interests. They simply work and spend the money they make ameliorating the crippling loneliness that's become more pervasive than ever in Japanese society. All while subsisting on the bare minimum because Japan is such a comparatively cheap place to live for people with any kind of adequate financial circumstances that it's genuinely easy to afford to waste that money. Especially when they have nothing else to spend it on.

It's an epidemic and unless there's been a recent shift of which I'm unaware, it's only getting worse.

"Lacking" seems accurate. Sorta like the author was unwilling to commit to their own setup of what a woman in Seira's position would do to obtain what she's after

... Oof...
I said it once, I say it again. Sierra really is the best writen character. It's so real it's crazy. I believe the mangaka either consulted people, investigated or something. You can see how she digs deeper and deeper into denial. "He's just using you". Even she recognizes it's normal. He IS just a host after all. When she tries to get support from him, of course it doesn't come. Then he sees him with another woman.
Now she's there: With a face half tired half scary, desperately fighting to make her illusion a reality, or at least keep it afloat. With bags under her eyes, puffy eyes for all the crying and puke smelling breath. She's really going all or nothing in this one.

I choose to believe it's because she, deep down, would rather her illusion breaks and accept reality. You can see she's divided in her inner monologue.
On one side, I like this series. On the other, I feel pity for Sierra. On the third hand, this has to end somehow. I don't think this will last much longer. Masato either gets stabbed/traumatized and shuts himself OR stays with AT MOST the 2 uni students. Why?
The rent lady has no romantic feelings for him. 2 girls are way underage and Sierra is... yeah.
...I hope she get's her happy ending tho.
