Not sure where I said that - my comment was about how Masato was shown to be the same way to everyone, and that it has caused numerous misunderstandings to the point that relationships fell apart because of his behavior.

The fact that he continues here, in a different world that plays by very different interpersonal rules, and is clearly courting potential disaster because of that behavior, just further proves the point.

The context is similar to the whole "it's not a woman's fault when she's polite to a man, and the man misunderstands and pursues her against her wishes" - but here we don't see him in an archetypal vacuum; we have precedent that this isn't simply something happening to him, but that he actually is willfully acting in such a way that those around him are getting mixed signals. And it's not just one person, it's everyone - and he's been clued into this fact previously, and yet he persists.
At that point, he's an active, if weirdly unwitting, participant.

And if everyone around you is misunderstanding you, then at a certain point it's not from them that the problem originates.
That's exactly what you said. You said that he should know better than to be kind to women and that him being kinder than the average man was bad for their mental health.

Though you did get my point in that in this world it is often the reverse that happens, with the boy being called a creep. Someone I doubt you'd be so charitable to.

What an awesome way to start new years.... As Masato "casually" slips out a precarious situation. Mizuho being a constant bitter feeling though truly separates her from everyone else. As she really has alot of things at stake vs the others who are calling dibs because he was just the perfect guy for a world like this.

Man, I really like the concept of a gender imbalance story, but the male protagonist is either braindead, acts like he's back on his world, or a horndog.

I'm also wondering why this world has a monogamous relationship. with 1 male for every 5 women, I thought Poly would be the norm.

All of the problems in this manga would be solved if polygamy is normalized in this world.
Well, most of the problems.
Most of the problems with this manga would be solved if Masato actually sets proper boundaries, instead of being oblivious of the effect of his kind treatment to women around him. He didn't learn a lesson from his previous life with him being dumped by his ex-GFs due to him giving the same treatment to every woman he meets, and thus not making his relationship any special. I feel bad for the heroines for being involved with him knowing the guy being this dense and oblivious. And it's going to take a while for him to sort out his own emotions and address his own failings as a man. But until then, it's gonna be a full melodrama, with the girls' hearts being moved or torn asunder.

no, I said he's going to run into problems because he's the same kind of "kind" to every woman. He doesn't differentiate based on things like whether he's in a relationship or what sort, or the sort of social distance he has with her. And we've seen in flashbacks in previous chapters that his behavior directly contributed to having relationships fall apart because he treated every girl the same, causing numerous misunderstandings.

We see it here. He's acting the same way toward all five of the heroines, and they've all got this idea that he's flirting with them in some capacity, and are falling for him. He's friends with some, he's a tutor with another, he's helping a fourth with sports, and the last is effectively a client of his through his job - whom he does not maintain distance from when he's off the clock, further causing issues with how she perceives their relationship.

At every turn, it's his behavior that's the common through-line, and that's compounded by the fact that he's not where he came from, and this world has very different proclivities and norms and social & interpersonal expectations for how men versus women act and behave. But he's acting like that's not the case, when he's been made aware that this is a very different place than he's used to, in that respect.

Leaving your personal attacks and presumptions aside, all of the conflict that is happening is a result of how Masato is behaving. And that is what I was highlighting, and that until he figures this out, it's only going to get worse. None of the heroines know why he is acting so differently from every other guy they've ever encountered, only that he is, and all of these circumstances are converging toward a point that is going to see a lot of pain, if Masato specifically doesn't work out what that the way he's been, is the eye of the impending storm.

You know, for some strange reason I’m reminded of the very real case where a male bar host was nearly stabbed to death by a very enthusiastic (re: Yandere) patron. Not sure why that popped into my head, really.

He survived, btw. Barely, but still.

Tbf to MANkoto (hah), his shitty “best friend” was infinitely worse. I think I remember one ending where Makoto is dead, and said friend had kids with all the fMCs. Not all were voluntary either…
