Man-whoreShima noticed before the MC did. Good thing they added that end section to cement the MC as denser than a neutron star.

He gets what Enomoto's vibing. He's trying to play dumb, though, to avoid all the awkwardness that would result from a clear rejection to a clear confession.

Makishima isn't kidding about having a plan that would make Yuu his brother-in-law, btw. Although that's a seed that won't sprout for quite a while yet.

damn, I get the whole deal with Hikari but it's getting VERY annoying with her half-assedness xD.

Just wanted to say thanks to you @ItsThatBriGuy.

I binge read this series to see what's up after seeing it on a list of anime adaptations for 2025. Probably won't continue this as since around Ch 8~9, I was getting more confused by the actions of the characters (mainly Himari and her seemingly innocent teasing that's testing the limits of their relationship). Your spoiler comments clears some stuff up for me, but man does reading this make me think as it gets more confusing for me while growing my dislike for Himari.

Yeah that's my read in it. He just isn't in to her like he was in the past. He doesn't want to hurt her but people keep trying to shove them together and he just isn't about that.

This is getting on my nerves a bit...

1. Saying "if you don't hate her just confess to her". Yeah, right, cause that's for sure the best solution for the start of every healthy relationship... :shamihuh:

2. Himari with her "I'm pushing you towards Rin regardless of your own feelings" vibe is seriously getting annoying.
Especially when she does things that have the opposite effect of pushing him towards her AND proves she herself don't want that.
She's just gonna end up hurting everybody at this point...

There are some obvious cliches in the story like the "playing dumb MC/FMC", the "childhood first love", the "beautiful girl attached to the 'average' guy" or the "fuckboy who will not touch the beauty childhood friend", but I guess most of us didn't notice one: Himari's hair, she has an "ahoge", which basically describes her as a dumb girl doing chaotic stuff for the sake of the plot. Once I noticed it, I stoped complaining about the mess she's doing.

Also, this is a rom-com about high school kids from Japan, I don't expect a fast resolution when the whole plot is about the two main characters discovering their true feelings.

I learned this since I started watching/reading Japanese com-coms: if MC and FMC exist, they will end together no matter how big their harems are, so I know Himari and Natsume will discover they love each other, Enomoto is just the "trial" they need to understand how deep their relationship already is.

Sometimes the ride is the interesting part, but sometimes it can get unbearable (you know the story I'm talking about).
