nooo women life hard grug
nooo women life better now grug
nooo women life still hard grug
I don't want to weigh in too heavily on this topic but please take a second remember that unless you were a member of an extremely priveleged elite, being male has never been a picnic.
Life is always about balance, women may have been restricted but they were protected because of their intrinsic value to the group being the only ones that can birth new members of the group, a man had more freedom in a sense but were left to die and fight for themselves with vast numbers of men simply dying or worked to exhaustion. Figures from stone age archaeology suggest a survival ratio of I think 34 women surviving to reproduce for every man.
Theis tradeoff of freedom vs security underlies the brutal arithmetic of life in this world.

New social balances are still being worked out as we attempt to adjust to a number of technological advances with many feeling very intensely what happens when they get caught between the shifting gears, see punitive divorce rape for an example.
Whether we can even survive these sociological shifts without going extinct and our homogeneous societies shattered and gradually replaced by outsiders is another matter altogether, one that I try not to think about too much or I fear I will go insane.

Always try to appreciate both sides.

I see, well thanks for your input, I didn't know that the rate of females who have been sexually assaulted was that high,

I did mention that that court case was in the US, specifically Kansas, but after thinking about it, yeah I do agree with you on that

yeah it probably is, I'm not an expert nor claim to be an expert, and even then I rarely research enough

yep definitely, I suck at this stuff

anyway, I have a bad habit of not thinking and just doing things impulsively, this all started because I read a comment that didn't mean any harm and caused my autistic brain to rant for no reason

btw if your wondering yes I am autistic, I also have ADHD, I was diagnosed like 10 years ago
No don't worry, I also tend info dump, especially if it's an issue I'm familiar with and very passionate about, (especially about this topic, since lately, I've been working with urban poor women, for my field work in college,)

[shortened for brevity]
I get what you’re saying, but every time people talk about the issues that men face in society it seems they only do so when women talk about their issues so they can go “but men have it just as much!”

The inherent patriarchal basis of our society hurts everyone - men and women alike. There’s nothing wrong with saying that society still has an issue with toxic masculinity and taking efforts to stymie that, because a rising tide lifts all boats
