Hair doesn't need to be soft through. From a Evolution point of view its mostly for insulating the body and a bit of defence. Only tje beauty industry cames up with the soft idea.

Conditioner helps by reapplying some moisture/ a protective barrier

If you don't
A) A lot more breakage will occur. Because it's dry & hard, instead of moist and soft, it's brittle and will break off a lot more, especially at longer hair lengths.

B) it's gonna look like a$$. Bet you don't wanna go looking like you have a crows nest on lmao

I would say that MOST men (especially us older guys) have never or have only a few times used conditioner by itself. What most would do instead is use a shampoo & conditioner product. Wouldn't work as well as a standalone conditioner but it's better than nothing.

So its a really Nice touch this manga is exploring all of that

Bro really wondered if it was okay to see a girl naked, as if it isn't his body. Even then, some more deep thoughts are kinda lacking to me
