you all better not under rate this when he turns back being a man and dates the gyaru
pure black panel "but I'll have to turn back into being a guy..." that was sequential art storytelling through aesthetic design that communicates a pretty blunt message deep down they don't want to turn back

this is pretty blatantly a trans lesbian story, albeit one that doesn't take itself too seriously a lot of the time, but whenever the protag lets themselves enjoy being a girl, it gives them some pretty pure, giddy joy, one might even call it Euphoria.

he doesn't want the male body because he doesn't want to lose the bonds he formed and be the loner with 0 social skills he were in chapter 1, that's the core of the manga.

anyone is free to connect the dots to create their own constellation of analysis, to me is more about madonna's 'what it feels like for a girl' and be a part of a community, if to you is a trans lesbian story, to me is an anti incel cooptation because it highlights themes like sense of belonging, having friends and being cared for. the gender discussion is reduced to "i'm a man, how could you turn me into a woman" as in the first sense of self, the normality mc had to "i don't want to go back being a man" as in he thinks the way he is now allows him to participate in this community he likes so much. compared to his sexuality, where he says he likes girls only, he doesn't show any strong statement about his gender, only that "being a gyaru is fun", to me it seems he'd be happy having either a male or female body, as long as he could keep the friends he made

That would be a plausible reading... if the rest of the story wasn't also littered with examples of the protagonist examining different aspects of womanhood outside of social bonds, whether it be pondering motherhood, finding enjoyment in self-expression through feminine fashion, or indeed designing a female form that they would prefer over a Gyaru aesthetic. Some of this is pretty blatant, and more often than not the conclusion they reach is a sort of guilt or confusion at how much joy something feminine is bringing them.

It would be funny if the mc went back to being a boy just to get at it with a gyaru and then immediately return back to being a girl.
I suspect just like with the bathhouse chapter that we will get a chapter where the mc turns back into a boy and then decides to return back into a gyaru although considering that gyaru power is limited, the transformation back and forth likely could mean the change becomes permanent.
Thats my prediction for this story at least

The tankoubon volume releases are uncensored.
Buy them on Bookwalker or something. There's links to stores on the front page of the series.
Though I bought them on Pixiv Comics on mobile.
