Trying to appeal to people who are losers in real life that feel they've been "wronged" or cheated out of something they deserve? Makes it easier for them to self-insert. That's my guess anyway. The target audience reads these for the cheap power fantasy and doesn't really care about the story that delivers it, even if it's the same crap over and over. Authors either know this, or are one of those losers themselves.

I think it's some propaganda program to turn the chinese into psychopaths that bow to the strong and tyrannize the weak. Its very different from old wuxia like Condor Hero or Smiling Proud Wanderer.
