Ah yes the classic genocide in the past leading to the dehumanisation and criminalization of the people trope

If a country continues their genocidal tendencies to maintain their power after using genocide to gain power, I don't see what's so innocent about that, but that's outside the scope of the plot

For an axe ending it was decent but definitely a disappointment compared to the promising premise

For all of Jess's grandiose talk about avenging ancient ethnic cleansing (inexcusable war crimes), his true motivation revealed itself: he wanted revenge for the inhumane experimentation on Aisha, and he seems to have inherited the demon lord's power from her life's sacrifice if the markings on her mangled body are any indication.

This could have ended with a bang but fizzled out with a draw for that final battle. A non-ending promising more for a future that's unlikely to come. Wasted potential (especially for Alice) although it wasn't particularly original either. Oh, well. Off to the Completed pile with you.
