Then he went to a cram school afterwards, or at least that's what it was implied, because iirc, he was punished with expellment, community jobs and having to finish his studies in a juvenile after being caught with Agawa doing it. By the time he went to confront Agawa and baseball guy, he was already around 18-19yo and was working as a traffic officer.
