It was unfair. Read chapters 34 and 60 and come back here, you'll see that is not only unfair, it was foul.

It's also unfair to say that she's hanging out with her friends when it was Gotou who has tried to distance himself from Akito because of the bad rep he was giving her.

The best thing about the emerging waifu wars within this series is that Takeda has fully given in to following his every whim, reaching back to him completely re-writing the series to let him draw a threesome. Thus there is potential for every girl to suddenly win, or for it to end with Gotou alone or a full harem. Kinda rooting for Shige now as well to be honest.

Anything could happen at this point and it would read perfectly fine in comparison to the rest of the story.

Well Inukai essentially intimidated her into it so alls forgiven on her end, but anyway I guess the problem with Akito is that she isn’t super proactive in regards to her dissatisfaction with her relationship with Gotou and Gotou himself doesn’t seem to be all that into her romantically considering that he’ll gladly marry Kiyomi or Shigemi apparently but can’t even bring himself to call Akito his girlfriend much less have the stones to turn her down gently.

Gotou himself doesn’t seem to be all that into her romantically considering that he’ll gladly marry Kiyomi or Shigemi apparently but can’t even bring himself to call Akito his girlfriend much less have the stones to turn her down gently.

The point of that scene was to show that he's so down bad that he didn't notice Shigemi was teasing him and will accept anyone that proposes to him. Obviously Akito hasn't proposed because she's not ready for that, she just wants to be his gf. Also no normal person proposes to someone that quickly that's moving way too fast.

Fact is Akito has been honest with her feelings, she does object to being just sex friends and was against him marrying the teacher, the one at fault here is Gotou. And he does like her but he's greedy, selfish, and doesn't want to settle for one person.
