I don't know why she's afraid..she just saw her future..i.e it can be averted!
Depends on if the future is deterministic or not. If that is the case, she can try all she wants, but the universe will bend over to make sure things happen the way they're supposed to, ie her husband WILL cheat, she WILL get sick, she WILL attempt suicide. It's like in the Time Machine remake movie, how the guy tried to save his wife multiple times, but no matter what he tried, the universe killed her in progressively sillier ways because she was meant to die, and there was nothing he was allowed to do.

Usually trying to change the future becomes a self fulfilling prophecy if you're not a time traveler/ in a loop lol but depends

Or a final destination style where alternate bad things would happen

Tho the title being named 'comedy' is messed up unless the audience are like misery/despair demons feeding on her negative emotions

I dunno, I always believe our future ain't set in stone and if we ever see our future, it's one of many end destination. And yes, it is a comedy..her misery is funny to them..it's like when we watch a slapstick..the person's misery is our entertainment!

yeah def knowing about an illness/cancer diagnosis ahead of time would help but idk if a doctor would believe you unless you time it just right but unfortunately this is a horror anthology, unless we get some follow up, or somehow this theatre might lure in some bad ppl who might 'deserve' it more

Well, that's sure something. Seeing the future through a film is a pretty obvious connection to the themes I mentioned in my earlier comments, but also there's all the movie's patrons having weird, deformed looking eyes. The poster not having any visuals also sort of connects as a instance of not seeing, which is interesting.

And referencing my theory that manga-Komori's universe doesn't have "seeing," I wonder if this could be what people look like in his world? If so, that'd definitely be a different sort of horror from his perspective. Almost like breaking the fourth wall, I'd imagine.

I think the pronouns at the end might be off?

The "he" should definitely be "she" or "I" and if it doesn't explicitly say "I" then the twist is probably meant to land when MC sees her name in the cast list, so stuff like, "my husband's affair was exposed," should probably be, "her husband's affair was exposed."
