For a moment I thought the censored pages would uncensor themselves and jumpscare us.

I think the censors are way more eerie than a normal spooky face would be on its own, otherwise it'd be a typical, run of the mill "horror manga" panel, no different from page turns in a work by junji ito, and probably far less scary than one of his works, but the censors let your own imagination do the legwork, how horrifying was her face? Was it even scary at all? The fact that the manga pretty much devolves after that with the censors taking up so much you can't make out what's happening, and that's just how it ends, the implication being if you COULD see what happened, you'd be cursed, is really cool

There's a part of me that wants to see the face and another part of me who's relief that I don't get to see it.
