...To be honest, this might be the first time I've seen a generic fantasy isekai manga justify the use of crosses as a religious symbol through world building. It's not perfect, but the design of the crosses on their robes do kind of look like scales, so I can buy it.

Iirc, the Hero had some reasons to act like a male. With how long it's been since I've read this manga, I forgot exactly why.

Yeah, this is VERY rare, but also very well done. One could argue there should be an addition to the sides of the scales, but it's a very nice choice on what to base the image of the cross on.
I love when a story takes a Trope, and then expands on it on an interesting way.

She can't.
The Armor itself is sort of a Sacred Relic, similar to her Sword.
Basically, she was given the Best Equipment in the Game on the Starting Town.
If you could get killed at any moment by some Demon appearing, would you replace it with a cheap generic armor made by a local blacksmith?

Lol, eventually she won't be able to wear it anymore because her boobs keep growing whenever she levels up. At least by that time she would have somewhat decent level to not get one-shot anymore.
