The former queen didn't seem very hung up on her daughter escaping... she actually looked proud, and a little relieved XD.
Presume it was twofold... on one side, she felt proud of how she outsmarted their defense and escaped, a true show of the talent her child has and the talent a princess of their kingdom should have.
On the other... it got easier to choose the successor... especially because both princesses were trying to shove the succession at each other... political chaos was very much a thing she was having to deal with.
With Rania having only a slightly bigger favorable position, it was still unstable enough that, independently of who was chosen, the other nobles would make noise.
..... There was a chance too, that they could end up pitted against each other in a war of succession... and those never end well.
