Ashi-Girl (an unlikely perfect mix of demential gags, romanticism and serious historical moments;
my most prized manga discovery last year and possibly my favourite manga at the moment)
The Legend of Koizumi Both politically charged absurdist comedies:
Redman Princess one longer and softer, the other shorter and completely (amazingly) deranged
The Former Prostitute Became a Rich Wife
(it's not marketed as a comedy and beginning is tragic but the more it goes on the more it goes through
absurdly over-the-top moments that made me laugh more than once and make me feel its humour isn't
entirely accidental; try it if you're feeling adventurous)
They all have a fierce tendency to piss on tropes and stereotypes in common
