You are forgetting the tracker conveniently broke in the teachers area just as they discussed how sus he is. Anyone with even passing familiarity with literature would realize at that point, and kaname is a student.
Besides, it's not sure he's the BBG, but it is sure that he is sus enough it's best to rush and see if he has the mouse, and maybe take the time to interrogate thoroughly.

No, the tracker broke near the school, within 500m margin of error, so technically it could be anyone inside and nearby the school.

Saying it "conveniently broke in the teachers area" is very misleading, as you can still say it conveniently broke near his friend area and still hold true.
