Nayuta might be hiding something. She hides more than she lets on, to the point that she tells a lot of truth with omitted important info without activating Ryuuji's bullshit detector.

She said "no gang members here." If pressed more, she could answer "oh that was a former gang member."

I might be forgetting on how his bullshit detector work though. Do truth with omitted info ring his bullshit detector?

On a jarring note, sure a gang is dissolved, but they should have known that there exists some ex-members lurking around.

BTW, the story about Social Networking in Russia and suicide is a city legend called "Blue Whale". There are no proof of it existing, but there are kids who were playing along with those jokes, mostly people in need of attention from parents, etc.

Still, there are reasons to believe that the original rumour was started by government itself to give them a reason to tighten censorship on Russian internet, which they are doing from before that rumour and keep doing now.
