That's how it usually is with long-running ones like this though, you can't expect something on the level of visual novels in these types of manga. I don't see how this is poor anyways, it's a rather cliche but good way to introduce the next arc with tension.

@shrike the longer the run of a story, less detailed it is in the mind of the author beforehand... I bet he just had a concept in mind that he wanted make before really reaching this point in the manga. Like the idea that animals already having sigels in this world.

It is even worse if the author never imagine a end to the story, it would mean that the new arcs doesnt talk with older ones, but so far in this manga, i would say that this isn't the case.

A good example of that is the police asking Kaname to go back to school, that talked great with the beginning of the manga with all the missing people fuss that was starting to happen in the school.

@gaigous I mean she did mention before that she can manipulate the water inside other people's bodies but she's not comfortable with killing people. So it's not that she didn't know she could do that she just chooses not to. But just like Kaname her morals are slipping and she's starting to become comfortable with that if it means saving someone

@Niralam Killing is simple stuff, I'm thinking something more creative like maiming, maybe carry some cloth or tarp for extra damage, if you know the difference between being slapped with a dry towel and a wet towel, that's how it works.

@gaigous I mean she did kill the parrot so she's definetly heading in a more dangerous direction than before where any killing scared. She's not even that scared of her teamates killing people anymore. Plus even just manipulating a person's blood pressure is already morally dubious territory. Since even a single air bubble in the stream can kill someone it would be very easy for her to make a small mistake and just kill the person instead.

@Niralam Um, I didn't say anything about killing a person by manipulating their blood or the mental journey killing brings with it, the context of the convo is creativity with water manipulation, maiming is not killing, a high-pressure water cutter is also a possibility.

Hmm.. Seems more like a frying pan through butter, rather than a knife...
Who/what are GM's trying to win against though? Is it other GM's?
