Guess Darwin’s Game, or rather the GMs of each worldline has the purpose to advance their population to fight the inevitable Doume/monster threat.

The main one, worldline N was through Darwin’s game, while our GM seemed like an evolution sociopath at first, recent chapters show more like he is trying to use the survivors of natural selection to gather an army and fight back.

The Japan and Doume’s worldline was a bit more advanced but failed, leading the Doume to take over the world, which matches how our GM says he wouldn’t “make the same mistakes”.

Meanwhile worldline O has a naturally stronger population, but technologically weaker one at the same time, making it seem like the GMs of both worldlines orchestrated their game for each to get people from the other worldline and make theirs stronger, seeing as the game wouldn’t end in death of the losers, but capture. Worldline O won and with that they acquired better technology, will soon mass-produce our guns and soon be better prepared for the invasion.

If different countries in world line o call their powers/sigils by different names, I'm guessing that Kukuri/the emperor position in 'Japan' is just a distribution mechanism, and not the GM of this world. If she is 'all they need' to get back though, does that mean she has a way to contact the gm or that every leader in this world has the power to cross worlds?

World line o and the world conquered by the doume both have individuals with the ability to see the future. Does anyone from world line n have this as a sigil?

Is this vision of catastrophe relevant for every world or is it painted here specifically for Kaname to come see??


This 'fight otherworldly monsters to prepare for a future terrifying threat' premise is similar to

, but I wonder why none of the worlds attempt to also inform the participants that this is the real goal? (Ender's Game also strikes me as tangentially similar.)

I like the 2 new characters, their sigils look weak tho, it's like knockoff version of Kaname and Shuka' sigils
