Typical obedience to well-defined, strick social structure prevalent in Asian countries. You are expected to respect your elders and never criticize or contradict them, no matter what they do. Fortunately, his sister ignores this tradition when it comes to her brother.

@FredFriendly most of my family immigrated from there and its not always the case when it comes to alot of constant disrespect someones bound to get punched no matter the circumstance especially with younger generations going further and further from that era. Idk recently my cousin saw a kid punch a creepy guy in the jaw in kyoto near his apt. He said it's because he doesn't want to cause trouble for his noona and doesn't want people to talk shit about the two of them.
His sister doesn't mind, obviously, but i get it. It's overwhelming sometimes.
