Sadly alot of these series get made, can't think of one of them where they decide to be siblings and they each romantically at least go their seperate ways. I always also just assume this is so the managaka can make an incest story without them being actually related so the series doesn't get contriversial.

I'm not sure what you mean. Doing chores teaches her housework. When she moves out (which is crucial for being independent), she will need all of those skills because there's nobody else doing it. Working goes without saying as a part of independence. She merely dropped the unrealistic earning goals she had with this choice of a job.
