I really understood that illustration of what it's like growing up and then becoming an adult. It's true you often grow up with a list of milestones to hit and that's how you feel like you're keeping pace and moving with life. However, once you're an adult the path isn't always so linear anymore. There's more ambiguity, options and uncertainties. Doing what's expected doesn't always take you where you want and doing what you want doesn't always land you on solid ground.

I can relate to her so much. I'm a translator freelancer though I'm kinda part of a company (but isn't treated like one since...yeah 'freelancer') All my friends keep saying something like 'it must be great to always work from home, can get up at any time, etc.' But you know, LIFE IS SUCK, no matter what you do. Tbh, I'm pretty confident in my ability as a translator, still, I always feel lost. Hundreds of self-doubt questions like 'Is this the right path? Should I just live my life like this while others live so different?' always swirling in my head. It's not easy to keep your head straight living a life like this.
