It takes some real talent to make a setting as fantastical as this one with an MC as strong as this one... tedious. Weird hangups the author has being shoved into the story through Satou's inner dialogue aside, Satou is painfully, agonizingly boring.

Even the fights are boring, with such an asinine number of damage types and resistances that the interminable "resistance skill acquired" messages are meaningless because in the next fight he'll just be hit by something else - except it'll do the same damage of "nothing." It's a distinction without a difference. There's no urgency and no strategy; Satou resists everything and spams the same handful of attacks and the author does such a poor job keeping track of even this childishly simple system that the effects of those spammed attacks are barely noticeable until suddenly the fight is over.

The multi-chapter ordeal of him fighting the boar head whatever is legitimately one of the most boring things i've ever read. I realized after it finally ended that I couldn't bring myself to care about anything in this setting anymore, as it became clear the author had no grasp whatsoever on what makes for a gripping narrative.

If I had one word to describe this, however, it wouldn't be "garbage" or "boring": it'd be "squandered." There are the beginnings of a compelling world and story buried in the foundations here, but the author has surrounded them in monotonous rubble rather than build on them.

I rarely follow a manga just because of a character. I'm reading this for Zena, and I hope that dead(revived) girl gets justice too. Ngl, after all these years, it's quite boring. The only other memorable moment was that girl who died(by demon) and was revived. It was honestly a good setup for character development. But it really feels like the mc is detached from the seriousness of things throughout. As if a player in a game and things just work conveniently, at least that's how I'd explain it. As per the novel, the romance theatrics shouldn't have existed in the first place if it's never going to go that way.

Is there a reason the translator stopped updating this one? Did it get licensed? I was surprised it has no traction, even though it has a metric ton of bookmarks.

The depths of my loathing towards the "MC hides his powers" trope cannot be expressed in mere words. Dude is level 310 or something. Literally the strongest being on the planet by a country mile. Yet, he REFUSES to take action, because somehow, somebody's going to "bother him". Who exactly is going to bother the strongest being that exists? He could literally solve every single problem, including the racism his followers face, by just revealing his strength, but he just doesn't do it. It makes no god damned sense, and never has this nonsense been as prevelant as it is in this story. I hate it so much. It's honestly as irritating as the forced slavery trope (which we also get here, because of course), if less outright indicative of the writer's personal twisted fantasies.

missing chapter 101-105
Silas is well known for erasing his scanlated chapters 0.000001 sec after they got an official translation.
This manga has official English release up to Vol 16 (chapters 99 to 105), with Vol 17 announced with release date 2025 Aug 26. That's why it's weeeeeeird that he took this up at all.

Uhh, all we needed to know was “why”, not necessarily how Silas was involved. Thanks though!
On that note, do you have something to say about Silas? You sound kinda jaded on the subject.

It's called experience.
I did read multiple manga here on mangadex, where he pulled the rug from under us readers.

For example: I'm a Curse Crafter, and I Don't Need an S-Rank Party!

Hey, does anyone else get that uncanny valley "AI Art" feel from parts of the new chapters? I only really started noticing it in 109 Pg 28. I think I might just wait for someone else to do it, if they do.
