Thanks so much for all your work on this Silas! This is one of my absolute favorite mangas and it was so long since someone worked on it before you. Amazing work.

Looks like he is acknowledged for his work by one of the biggest forces out there now. Luckily, he got a LOT of information and materials out of doing this journey. It was a great experience. Can’t wait to see where it goes from here.

want to keep low profile but always doing some unnecessary work whenever he got the chance
And makes assumptions on what he thinks is considered normal after constantly being told he's not normal.

I thought Satou had it bad being stuck as a babysitter, but the upgraded harem is working him even harder.
Being honest to my own personal taste, I would gladly work for the elf. The others are too...not really "full of themselves" cause they are quite well-mannered despite the positions they hold. Easily follow their emotions and flirtatious to get something they want. I don't even think they realize they do that either.

This is a great part of the story because we're starting to get some long-term characterization for people who are important to the story long-term.

Yes, Hayato is a pedo, but he's not a sexual predator. He really is a hero and works like hell to keep the people around him safe. 'Hayato the lolicon' is mostly played for comedy.

We're seeing more of Ringrande and the other hero's party girls' ridiculous skill and talent. Hayato's group is very much a grown-up reflection of Sato's group.

We're also starting to see some of the overarching conflict and behind-the-scenes politics and tensions that are driving the plot.

I'm very happy that in the WN at least

, the various bad guys are not simply, 'we're doing this because we're eeeeevvvvillll.' We get to peer deeply into the heart of the Weasel empire as well as the other forces Satou and his friends are up against and see clearly how and why they do what they do.

Also, I'm so happy to see that the little guy's out of the hospital! WTG, Kitty. Keep getting better! RIP to Silas's finances!

Wiyari is not an Elf, but rather a Long Ear-kin. Apparently they are quite annoyed to be misidentified as Elves by the many summoned heroes over the ages.

Elves are significantly longer lived on the millennia scale.

That stat disguising function is the only thing saving Satou from being the slave chef of the hero party

It's nice to see an actual competent non MC Hero. He's for sure not on the level of Satou but he actually get's shit done and isn't a shithead. The only other one I can think of at that level is Hibiki from Moonlit Journey.

Not really. I read it originally on https://www.sousetsuka.com/p/web-novel-version-death-marching-to.html

However, the chapters are numbered and not titled on the ToC and it's been a couple years since I last visited. This chapter is approximately around the 1/3rd mark, but I couldn't tell you exactly where.

It's also important to note that the Manga seems to follow the LN and not the WN, and there are some pretty important differences between the two.
