In a previous chapter, hero said he couldn't take more passengers on his ship because there weren't enough seats. But there's so much room inside, even sleeping quarters. If it's a safety thing, the seats don't have seatbelts. Oh well

Warning for those who are interested in this series:

I'm not sure that's the case. I don't recall seeing them specifically say they'll delete anything. The gap isn't because chapters got deleted. They were skipped just to play it safe legally. Once the official English is out though there should be no reason to delete these because these came out first so legally it's probably fine and probably won't cause any issues. Unless Silas explicitly said at one point that they plan to delete these and I just didn't see it or something, I wouldn't be too concerned.

My view of the story thus far is that he has shown he’s moderately powerful. But in comparison to the hero party he doesn’t want to seem around their level because it will draw too much attention to himself.

He absolutely does not want the attention or responsibility that being a 'True Hero' since it will get in the way of his never-ending foodie tour of Isekai Planet.

Of course, not being a complete and total jerk he does show up when a hero is needed. Repeatedly.


His entire reason for going with Hayato and his party is to see the dragon. If he can get away with it, Hayato will never know that he's Isekai cheated out the ass.

Silas, once again, thank you so much for translating this series. It’s a great one and it’s text heavy, but such a good piece.

Interesting how as soon as they exited hyperspace, they were attacked by something. And the dragon has to be fairly strong for it to knock the hero back just based on its breath. Hopefully it can be somewhat reasoned with somehow. More subtle Saori flexes…? Prayging

once you get paid, the legality becomes an issue, unpaid, it's a different beast.
this is a habit, not a one-off event.
humans tend to keep to their habits.
(if official english is out, and scan group gets paid still for that chapter, then it's illegal and can get hit. instead of pulling or changing coding to make official english posted chapters free/no longer attached to finances, it's easier to just delete) "to be safe"

the chapters were skipped not for legal issues but for the fact that they were already translated. silas just didnt want redundancy at the time of posting. or at least thats what was said in the ch 106 comments.

Lovely thought, but that would not include the other series, where after being posted for well over months long, deleted. "redundancy" of having an official chapter AND a fan translated chapter isn't redundant when one is behind a paywall that supports the author, while other is a typical MD chapter. Remove the MD, and now there's zero chapters on MD to read to public. Then again, if you also go along with 'redundancy' still, there's been numerous times where it's nearly required due to the poor quality or unreadability of a chapter. I'm not sure silas is gone to that extreme yet, but just due to an identical chapter being posted here does not exclude that the chapter isn't complete garbage. Then add onto another variable where different groups use different variations of the translations, where at worst case it becomes unrelatable to previous storyline (more notable with cultivation series that has large names where different groups shorten them differently)
TLDR: silas has a pattern that's gone beyond a singularity of occurrence, regardless of their 'reasoning' the action of chapter removal has been repeated enough to warrant advisement.

i ask this with absolute sincerity because i haven't seen it: what are these repeated times silas has done this on? the many manga i follow that silas has scanlated dont have any chapters missing?

edit: went check silas' mangadex page, seems the 1 (or 2, second one no one mentioned on the manga's page) got nuked notnbecause of redundancy, but of a C&D, aka legal action.
I would argue that's not a behavioural trait but a "unlucky" type of thing. plus, silas has dropped some series (but deleted) after the official surpassed from what I've seen, so chapter deletion seems to be rare and only when there's actual consequences to not following through.
