Minha honesta reação com esse final aí, porque não achei expressão melhor de decepção pra por aqui...
Enfim, pessoalmente prefiro o final do anime, doq do mangá.
Sério, o final do mangá foi bem ruim, essa tentativa de deixar o Light patético não cola pra mim, o final do anime foi muito melhor, porque o Light teve um bom final, digno de um verdadeiro vilão, por mais triste que tenha sido também. Acompanhei o anime e o mangá de forma suficiente para enaltecer a inteligência do Light e saber que forçaram a barra pra ele se humilhar tanto no final desse jeito, por mais que ele ainda fosse humano e os humanos tenham medo, a destreza do Light era maior que isso, e o orgulho tbm, fico feliz que o anime tenha conservado o quão f0da ele era, demonstrando o medo dele no fim sim, mas sem acabar com a imagem do personagem.
Eu sei que é errado, mas eu sou fã do Light mesmo depois de tudo, foi triste ver esse fim dele no mangá, mas ainda assim ele continua sendo o melhor, e todos sabemos que ele foi vencido apenas pelo roteiro.

Don't know why people don't like the second half tbh. I think it added a lot to Light! Plus, the ending is amazing!

I somehow avoided any & all spoilers and read up to chapter 68 for my first ever experience with this series. However, I don't know what it is about the rightfully infamous second half, but it doesn't hold my attention in the slightest. I wasn't as against the concept as a lot of others, where they outright drop it after the big thing. But damn dude. Chapters drag on in a mockery of what made it good once you get past 63. Can't believe I'm saying this, but I am dropping it as a main read. I don't think I've seen anything fall off so hard. I'm sure if I'm in the mood for deep reading I'll hop back in.

It kinda went downhill towards the end. Just not bad enough to call it a lost potential since it started well everything got boring after 107 imho

I never bothered with this back then. And I kinda regret bothering with it now.

I mean... holy shit... The antagonist of the second half is some faux-edgy tween who eats chocolate all the time, in a supposedly threatening manner, and has a little silver skull hanging from his glove. Fuck off, please. And all the English names are so weird, like "Ran Panber" or "Blanne Gwenfer". I get it, the author is Japanese, and twenty years ago the level of English in Japan was even worse than it is now, so they don't know why these name don't make any sense.

Honestly, this shit is overrated. Maybe the first arc was okay-ish. Author should've ended it there.
