The Japanese reading is literally "Mage Finger" and I know the official light novel translates it to Mage Hand but we're not official so I'm keeping it to whatever the Japanese author puts unless it looks really weird. I did a little digging to see if this was just a difference between Japanese dnd and English dnd and the spell is still called "Mage Hand" in the Japanese spells lists I found (I didn't buy a book so it's just what people post to the internet). This is my preferred approach until I know the whole story.

TLDR; a lot of the spells are based off of or influenced by DND but there are differences (ex. castling is not a DND spell but it is in this world) so I'll keep what the author has.
