Yeah, I have a particular issue with that sentence. The literal translation would be "Sacred Wardrobe", but I changed it to "Holy Robe" but still, it just sounds wrong. Lemme know any suggestions.
Divine Armor or Raiments perhaps?

Page 11: The country thats exporting cheap food and prolonging the wars is the Great Light Empire(Tzardom in the official TL). They worship the Great Light there and where weeb is from.
Holy Light is where Rabbi village is and worships Angels and have Holy Maidens.

Anyway, anyone know the connection of the name Barlow in regards to Detective Conan? I never did get the pun here.

I feel bad for the Hero, but a Hero shines brighter in times of need. So he is where he is needed regardless of the situation he got summoned too.

It honestly works better when you think over the context.
But then again this manga has memes for names so I wouldn't put it past the author to intentionally make it translate in a wonky fashion.

I mean the sentence chosen by the cloth or chosen by the robe is something I heard several time when someone is chosen to serve the/a church. So it isnt that weird.
Also for everyone wondering who the fat guy is: You remember the lucky guy who saw the girls panties by accident, that is the guy.

Translating だんな as “husband” instead of “Boss”?
@DevilBro559 beside husband, 旦那 (danna) can be translated as master or my lord, and context wise i think its more make sense, since its monkey king and his right hand man(key)

edit: the empty bubble at page 30 here can be filled with wha-?! or wh-?!, since the bubble originally contain なっ, which usually used to express interrupted nani
I always assumed that the shaman was a female, and that they were husband and wife because of the way they were portrayed in the manga. Will need to correct it soon. If possible, pls mention if it is husband in any other chapter that I have posted.
Divine Armor or Raiments perhaps?
Nah, sounds too complicated. Need to keep it simple.
Also... HIS NAME IS WEEB?! Weeb?! AUTHOR WHAT WERE YOU DRINKING?!
Actually, his name is "Otaglasses", and his nickname is "Weeb". I used Weeb since writing Otaglasses is a headache in small bubbles, and I just kept calling him Weeb for consistency (plus it was easier).

In fact that's its original and primary meaning, of servants or workers showing respect to the master of a household or business; Danna as husband is informal usage and is really only a modern usage.

https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10134668 this is referred to as a "Detective Conan Barlow Shirt". Further the page shows us that it's actually "ba-ro-", which is a Kansai-ism of "bakayaro".

I think holy mantle would work better both in the literal way that he is wearing a mantle and in the metaphorical sense of taking on the mantle of hero

It's wrong because his Holy weapon is the box on his back, so maybe it's a wardrobe, or armoire, or chest, or something.
