I'd say it depends on manga genre. In Josei (Japanese manga targeted at women) with smut (a cute name for "porn") scenes first kiss might happen with using a lot of tongue. For example,

It's a pretty fun read, at least the first 14 chapters: a little bit of comedy, budding romantic feelings culminating in mutual confession and a touching scene of intimacy right after. It'd be perfectly fine if the manga just ended right there (or skipped right to chapter 52), but no: they had to drag it on and on for 50+ chapters. Most NSFW scenes there are medicore and can be skimmed through without much loss to the plot and your sense of horny. They look like they were shoehorned by an editor so that the manga can be published in a magazine where manga with lots of NSFW scenes is published; it's one of those manga titles that would be paced better and more fun without NSFW scenes.
