Ehh, Maho route could've worked if it was fleshed out more, way more. The hero's feelings was an important factor throughout the story but all we got was a slideshow of him with Galatea. He gave so much thought to his relationship with the village girl and here he barely acknowledged anything. The blood of a hero thing felt forced too (not to mention the ramifications on the world building of having a bloodline of heroes).
On another note Douka's cameo is disservice to the plot rather than a neat addition. He let his beloved Charlotte force herself to be in an unwanted marriage, but helps out virtual siblings to get together. Even if you say that Charlotte's decision is relatively fine, in principal, letting Maho end up with Yuri, is the complete opposite MO. Where Lotte put aside her feelings for the better, Maho gets her way.
