the fact that the hero and mage weren't blood related a least allowed me to ive some lee-way for the last two chapters, even though it's still a tad bit weird that they revealed that so late, then again not much to do when axe-kun comes for you.

the ending was pretty nice though, shame it couldn't last longer

Still it is better than nothing. It is painful to realize, that so many good written mangas like this got axed and a lot of trash garbage Harem mangas have over hundred chapters and anime adaptations.
