Basically while the maid guild was just doing their thing and rolling out red carpets, one day White Lily GM just kinda pop in
Then more and more of them shows up

Crim isn't really a trap though. A trap would be someone like the Akira from Kemono Jihen that looks like a girl, but identifies as and is biologically male.

As of the ending of Chapter 5 where Kou's mom showed up at the hospital. It's very safe to assume that the pod is turning Kou into Crim irl. Especially when the scene does a close-up on her mouth and the mom has vampire fangs.

Well, Crim has lived his life so far as a guy, his thought process currently is that of a guy. Just like Mira from Kenja no Deshi.
