Welp, finally moved this one to the "Dropped" folder, as I haven't even read it for like 10+ chapters straight.
It started out good and well, and then fizzed off. From good action, decent world-building and discovery (how does a character gets stronger? How does one gain skills? Quests? PvP?) -- and then just dropped in interest, as it moved towards a political arc, where nothing mechanical (i.e: game-wise) changes.
Instead, we're exposed to an in-game tournament, where the MCs perform espionage and all sorts of episodic shenanigans that explores "the people" much more than "the world".
It's just that, "the people" are really not all that interesting, at all. And the game-system felt like it started to stagnate real hard.
I mean, you can't keep giving the MC OP shit and not hit a ceiling at some point. The things the MC has to do dwindled really hard.
This is obviously me just echoing my thoughts somewhere, feel free to ignore it.
