Can I vote for both bad? I mean Japan certainly has a lot of fucked up shit going on for it, and so does the US. The best quality of life you'll get is from very quiet countries with small, manageable populations and restricted cultures (e.g Sweden, Belgium etc...) precisely because they're so small that it's easy to control. The whole "burn it all down it's corrupt!" mentality doesn't make sense to me, especially when talking about governments or countries. Like Teasday said, you've got to change not destroy it.
I could go on a whole rant about the shit I absolutely HATE about Japan and the US, but it's probably better to think about what it could be 🤓

I don't think that America will ever be destroyed. Mostly because it should have been destroyed a long time ago. It's a country that, by all logic and reason, couldn't possibly function, but not only has it not completely fallen apart yet, it remains a civilized country (sort of, socioculturally, it resembles more a corrupt third-world country). The only way to explain this is that America has divine (or demonic) protection that ensures it will continue exist for a long time.

When can one really say that a country is "destroyed"?

In my oppinion that would be when there's no longer any functional governing system over the area called a country.

For the USA that would be when the states no longer unite and form their own countries.

This also brings to mind a question I have had before: would a country be allowed to be destroyed / dissolved? Or more broadly, will countries be allowed to change their borders in the future?

It seems to me that the frequency of wars which change national boundaries, have significantly declined in the last 100-200 years (and had been slowing at a more gradual pace before that), while the incidence of intervention by third parties (either through war, economic pressure, or diplomacy) for various reasons in international conflicts has risen.

Obviously this is a very broad generalization, but it seems like a trend worth considering when thinking about these questions. I would think this would go double (or more) when talking about a country like the United States which, regardless of how you think its significance may have fallen in the last decade or two, still is a major player on the world stage. Destabilizing it would have far reaching political and economic repercussions.

Also, @BroederTrapist , nice name.

And it’s exactly the fact that war is beginning to disappear that America’s military spending becomes more and more insane in the people’s eyes. Basically we’re out if enemies for politicians to distract us with.

But you have to consider the fact having a strong military is a significant deterrent to hostilities from hostile terrorist nations that prey on weaker countries. It also gives more leverage when you need to put pressure on global bully nations.

Death to America lmao. The longer I stay in this mediocre shithole of this country, the more I want to jump shit.
I wanna say Japan's better, but let's not kid ourselves, Japan has it's own problems too that I'm not sure I'm willing to deal with.

From this post:
[My edgy phase] was during 2015-2016 when I was an anti-SJW, and use to watch Youtubers like Sargon of Akkad or NateTalksToYou.
I don't think I need to say too much, but dear god never have I regretted my life choices so hard.
Idk m8, I'd say that joining the hatefest on your own country is quite a bit cringier than what you described your previous self as.

Can't tell if bait. Regardless, sweet profile pic. Oh, and nice race-baiting article too.

@el-kaichou The article uses data to make its point, it’s not an attempt to race bait. Moreover, given the white supremacist groups that Trump refused to condemn and even told to “stand by” just a couple of months ago, I don’t understand how race can be an irrelevant part in all this. Especially with the level of socioeconomic disparity and racial segregation in the US.

You're @'ing the wrong dude btw.
it’s not an attempt to race bait
The presentation of any legitimate data is separate from the tonality the article takes towards "white people" and the shortcomings the author attaches to the entire racial demographic.
How is this:
White Americans are the rich world’s most hostile, ignorant, violent, cruel, and selfish social group — by a very long way.
anything short of race-baiting?
Moreover, given the white supremacist groups that Trump refused to condemn and even told to “stand by” just a couple of months ago
You mean the Proud Boys? They're nowhere near a "white supremacist group", that's just what people like Umair Haque would label them as since they don't fall in line with his ideology. Moreover, "stand back and stand by" is just another headliner quote that news sources use as if it actually means something. In context it just means "let law enforcement handle violent crimes". Any decent source other than MSM can easily inform you of all of this.

Proud Boys are best described by how they label themselves. Western chauvinists. Not really much better, but it's how they self-identify. I'd guess just like any organization similar to them there are some more prominent members who hold white supremacist beliefs. Doesn't make the organization itself a white supremacy group, though, they frequently flirt with the idea.

I don't doubt that there are people with radical beliefs in the group, of course. But I'm sure we all know that the same applies to any organization, in that a few 'out-there's don't define an entire group. It's also worth keeping in mind that the leader Enrique Tarrio explicitly denounced white supremacy, fascism, and other bad stuff (I ran out of words ok).

@bigtiddyoneesan I mean, they denounce those things and then espouse the central tenets of the very same ideas in the next sentence. They've said labeling themselves as western chauvinists is just PR and that 90% of them would espouse anti-semitic views when asked.

Well, that's not very nice of them I suppose. The main thing for me is that I'm just hesitant to believe a person or group is "far right", "[X]ist", "dangerous", or other bad things (I ran out of words again ok) when media begins labeling them as such. Such labels are thrown around so much nowadays that they've become saturated and misleading.

And it's not like I actually support the legit harmful or hateful groups. It's just that when someone like Pewdiepie, for instance, is called every name in the book for accidentally saying a slur, it shows how quick people are to completely renounce someone when that person steps even a little bit out of line by their standards.
