It does sound like she's THAT desperate..good thing most of the cast are kinda oblivious..even Kazuha didn't notice that her counterpart until much later.

It rarely happens but yes and I like it even more when it happens in these Conan/Heiji cases, keeps Kogoro useful without having him sleep at the resolution
