While American forces complete its withdrawal in 1973 after the Paris peace conference, the evacuation have started in early 1970 and until Saigon fall in 1975, some of American assets were still in the process of evacuation. In fact, 1972's fighting was more fierce than usual, and thanks to American air power still remain in the country, the ARVN managed to score victories during the Easter Offensive
against the conventional forces of the NVA, instead of fighting insurgencies. I don't think the evacuation was in favour by the people who lived in the city. My neighbour were quite distraught when the American left, but most were apathetic, busy with earning a living.

@athzuwu How? Having lived in both a Communist country and a Capitalism country, both has their good and bad points. Communist country doesn't take away all of people's freedom like you Westerners like to imagine. We are still pretty much able to live the way we want. People can own properties. If you work for a government owned company, you won't ever be laid off. If that company is closed, you will be transferred to another company. After you retired, you can live comfortable with the retirement money. Healthcare is cheap compared to the US.

@miyako19 Communism and freedom should not be grouped together, imagine living under a communist regime where everything is controlled by the government with limited or no freedom of speech and saying that's a good thing. A communist government is a totalitarian state which hates the ideas of a democracy, but loves socialism. Communism is truly scum.

@beenswotted ur triggered communist scum? What I said is a widely acknowledged fact, you can look up countless research and debates that have proved communism/socialism to be a false/dysfunctional system, you should educate yourself more before calling others stupid, geez, what a clown.

@athzuwu pinnacle of argument right here. "You can go look up arguments other people have made that I'm too stupid to replicate here".

@athzuwu because you listed a bunch of things that aren't exclusive to Communism as inherently Communist and then couldn't even muster an argument of why Communism is uniquely bad out of your baby brain. There's a nuanced critique to be had about previous failed Communist states, but someone who thinks that the concepts of socialism and democracy are mutually exclusive deserves to be made fun of. So I'm doing that. Lol.

@beenswotted so, you would live in a communist country? Yikes. Socialism and democracy are indeed MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE you dumb dumb coconut, socialism will never lead to a democracy, it's a fucking BS ideology fabricated by arguably the history's most delusional, craziest sociopaths.

@athzuwu I've lived in a Communist country for 20 years, but you're right. Material analysis of the exploitation of labor? Delusional. Marx and Engles? Sociopaths. True Freedom and Democracy is being forced to be homeless because you can't pay rent while Jeff Bezos makes another 24 billion dollars during a pandemic.

@beenswotted I'll keep it simple for you because communists like you love to be delusional, same as your Great leaders. Look, the thing is that anyone can be a Jeff Bezos, or a Bill Gates in the free world, that's how life works, you work hard and you earn what you deserve. Why is he a billionaire? Because he worked hard in his young days, he sold books online and expanded his business, he had a smart idea and vision, did his efforts pay off? Of course. Did homeless people do what he did? Absolutely not. Did he have competitors? Many, and that's a good thing. His company Amazon creates thousands of jobs, and makes life more comfortable. And then the homeless and the poor look at him and blame the guy for thier poverty, and labor exploitation? What an astounding excuse for being lazy and unmotivated. There are always welfare programs and aids to get you back up. If not so content with your life, make an incentive to be better, no points in lazying around and being hateful for what you don't deserve.

And now, say, you work hard in a communist country such as where you are unfortunately to be born in, I ask you what's the point? Because you never become anybody, you can absolutely live day by day and that's fine, but your whole life is pointless. Your communist system holds back the potential to grow, because communism/socialism is a false idea created by probably the laziest and most ungrateful losers in all of history, who lived in a capitalist country by the way. You don't work for yourself but for your corrupted leaders, and no one is going to point out their corruption because it's all them, I think this is the real exploitation that you should be worried about. Communist regimes are really good with brainwashing and propagandizing. I think the communist country Vietnam saying that they won the Vietnam War is a very funny and self-flattering propaganda, with the death toll of 2 million civilians and 1 millions Viet cong. The US merely dropped the war, if it were to continue the world would only have 4 communist nations, and Vietnam would be better than it is today, and you too.

Tell me five things your communist country contributed to the pool of innovations for humanity. Have you ever realized the technology that you are using to read these mangas, and manga itself as a medium, come from the free world? Did the fall of the Soviet Union happen due to outside influence, or it fell apart on its own false foundation?

My apology for a bit of rant here, but you should try to absorb these and think about what I said, I'm not saying you are stupid but clearly if you believe so much in the false ideas of communism/socialism then you might have a problem within.

@athzuwu and there it comes out. Your worldview is so twisted that you can only see success or contribution to humanity in terms of commodities. You don't believe that nobody should be homeless regardless of whether they are lazy or not. You think that when something good happens to them it's because they deserved it and when something bad happens it's also because they deserve it. You think that someone can't have a fulfilling life unless they have physical stuff. Have fun living as a temporarily embarrassed millionaire using technology that was physically built by labor from my "pointless" Communist country.

Here's an example of my flawed analysis of labor apparently. Jeff Bezos doesn't work in a warehouse. He doesn't do any labor. But because he came up with the idea "books but online" and paid for it with a loan from his parents, he deserves more money than one of the people working in a warehouse would make working for him for 10,000 years. If that seems like a just system to you, then shit man.
