@kilisloe i know that but what is the point of it? the whole idea of selling your soul is old and it is ment to come with great rewards yet here you sell it only to then be forced to fight for your life and only then if you fought hard enough you get your reward. the whole soul part just doesn't blend with the rest of the story. it could have been "you sold your soul and now have to fight for us" but now instead we get this whole other motivation of him wanting money for his dying mother, it feels like 2 different plots jumbled together.

@Invader_Retro: The series with plots that move around a debt normally piss me off a little. What happened to the MC in this series, someone (its looks like it was the same dude who was bragging about having a 400 millions salary) impersonates him and thats it? Makes me thinks that there is no court or police in that country or what?
Also those series where someone dies and its children inheret the debt. LOL, whats this? the Middle Ages? Things like those make me feel like:
1- authors take advantage that those series are targeted to kids that now little to nothing and wont doubt what its writen.
2- laws in those asian countries are pretty fucked up.
It all sounds pretty bullshit to me.

@Tearsax I understand how you feel it's the same when I read a lot of series that start out similar with some kind of debt especially if it makes no sense...😓
Was referring to your points there, but will see how this goes for mc 🤔

kids, as you will inherit parents' wealth, you could inherit their debts too.

@dharman: Dunno how things work in your country, but in mine when people die others dont automatically inheret their things whatever they want it or not LOL
- If there is a will you can accept it or not (basically, if there is wealth you accept it and if there is debt you dont).
- If there isnt a will then the closest family gets a % of the wealth (no debt) and the rest goes to the government.
Those times where children had to pay for theirs parents shit are long gone, at least where i live, kid.

@Tearsax In my country if there is no will the closest relative inherit everything (if there are more than 1 equally close people then théy share). However. If the debt is, lets say on the house, then the bank's workers must come to the house and say a value to it (usually somewhat less then the middle price you can ask for if you sell it). After that the bank gonna offer a price (the estimated - the debt - some % for the "work they done") and if you wanna you can sell the property/car/other stuff for them. This way you still worse than if you sell it to a normal person but you have way less work with it and can solve it immediately.

@kbalintz: Yeah, here is similar. If i inherit a house, car or whatever that have a mortgage on it then i have various options. I can just refuse it, i can accept it and continue paying the mortgage or i can sell it and earn some money from whats left after paying the loan.
What i mean is that here we dont have an obligation to inherit something just because someone else, doesnt matter how close was that person to you, died. Thats why i say i think its bullshit whenever reading a manga i see the typical cliche where the MC gets debt outta nowhere because his parents died or fled leaving him behind.

@Tearsax each country have it's own rule about inheritance and debts, so don't think every country is like yours. just be positive.

edit : after all, it's an fantasy manhwa. so everything will be out of logic. just rating it 6/10 like me, and drop reading it if you got bored.

Of course they have debts and a relative in the hospital. Pretty much a requirement for Korean manwha.

Simulations aren't things that you just play with. What if our world's simulating system starts lagging?

@Tearsax except it's by a best friend who stole his identity It's identity theft his debt can be removed by law.

They could just remove that debt my telling the police right I mean if they see that you do not have the items that you bought with said credit card then his family would be fine and it can be pointed to the friend, unless of course it's underground money then yeah.

@greatninja3 Of course that depends on Korean laws which I don't know, but they do seem to have some pretty fucked loopholes in their law based on what the Lookism series has shown like the dog abuse shit and more.
