@monstergelo Iirc he only used the knowledge/skills from the previous mission. He just simple mindedly used what he have at those times.

@kamishiniyari Sose made a point that Contractors prefer lower levelled players because they are forced to solve their issues with just what is at their disposal. Yuribaltz even said that the reason Keseine was so happy with MC’s results was because in spite of using his soul, that entire mission was something the MC could have done alone.
Hell, he did the entirety of Keseine’s run restricted to what he had. He could have advanced his technology, the thought never even crossed his mind.
Adis’s mission has been the MC acting on instinct and what he knows at hand, he didn’t know he had an inheritance that could be used until losing it. He didn’t think of making advanced technology before Adis talked about it.
The restriction does sound heavy, but Adis said they actually SOLD otherworldly weaponry. That actually counterbalances whatever advantage you could get it in the long run. Instead of just arming your people with those weapons, selling them up means they will be used against you.

If anything it sounds like the Mc not thinking about it and Adis restricting him may end up helping him on the long run.

The funny thing about the restriction is that it had never crossed his mind to consciously develop or use modern technology. The most that could be said was his application of tower defense tactics during his last mission.

Tower defence tactics is not something groundbreaking. It was actually used to some extent even before medival times.
Sure it was rare because building towers was a huge pain and took alot of time / resorces but it did happen.

@WildJoker

What actually is/was cheating would be using the powers of his past quest givers like he did.
That said he is now on a "impossible and uncompleted" mission, and he made it even harder with his promise.
The reward the madlad is going to get if he actually manages to do it is going to be huge.

@Goldenzeal reward probably will be the ability to sense betrayal or fraud. The abilities that he's gotten haven't been strong but mental kind of things, and I believe either skill will help him survive when he reaches lv 10. It's not a huge reward since mc won't want to use it much. It's against his morals

Adis is a little bitch boy fr I need to see him get beat up BUT if there’s nothing, it could be a wake up call to MC about how the system actually works. While I dislike Adis, I still enjoy the story

But seriously beat that little bitch up

@WildJoker, hmm, i didn't even talk about the restriction, as the mc have never used such method on his previous missions, so he will probably do just fine. I just hate adis action and his way of talking, wud be nice to smack him in the face at least once simply for being a prick.

Why does Adis want the mission to fail anyway? Will he get more rewards if his own life becomes a impossible mission?

lol this is messed up, it's a C rank... beside B n A, wonder if there's gona b S that's even higher. anyway C rank and the employer is already a guy with a twisted personality which seem to like interfering/fraud/hand out restrictions to increase failure rate AND can fail contractors anytime he wants such as MC getting insta-failed in the beginning.. lol wtf? no wonder it's an impossible mission, adis seem eager to make it worse too

feels like a massive jump in difficulty from D to C..... wat's it gona b on A rank difficulty with eccentric employer? nope u misplaced the fork on the table, is off by a lil... fail. why? coz i deemed it unsatisfactory u pleb. if u placed it accurately, when it gets dark u gota light a secret hidden magical light source which will reflect n point out where the hidden stash protected by encrypted password u need to crack which will then point u to where some money's stashed in which will then allow u to buy delicious fresh roast pork, chilli oil from a specialist vendor, then receive freshly cooked rice and the single sexy lady neighbour for dinner together and to get her to marry me *AHEM* i mean to satisfy the main mission objectives! now shoo~

Why do people want to beat up Adis. The dude who (Had his father killed by suicide, lost pretty much all his money, got acid spilled on his face which made him "ugly" for life and has to relive this shit practically everyday)
Just chill bro's. Didn't this young teenage boy suffer enough? I get he's a bit of a prick but he ain't deserve more pain and suffering.

Ahh so thats what they meant by easy way

But now this raises a lot more questions, they seem to have confirmed my earlier theory that the clients WERE contractors:

But, that can't possibly be true. If they were contractors, they wouldn't have had such shitty lives, as contracting would've given them tons of money and resources?! Remember, a lot of the client's missions they DIED at the end in their original life.

Are only some clients ex-contractors? But then why did THEY sell their souls? What do they get out of this deal with sose? Eternal torment, reliving their worst moments, all for a BRIEF and FAKE dream at the end if someone else lives their life correctly, that can't possibly be all they got?

Plus their contracts can't possibly be valid in the first place anyway, they said they'd sell their souls for REAL solutions, not dreams, but ended up DYING, and then getting the dreams. That Canidium guy wanted the city to survive, that was the condition for selling his soul. But the city did NOT survive, in his life. In the mission it did, but thats just a dream, and it goes away, the mission and world resetting.
