You really think they're doing it by having professional translators and editors reread AI slop and okay it for the same rates they've always got and saving no time because of the rework they have to do to the trash that the AI shit machine outputs? No. Of course not. They're underpaying for the same job and saying that since the "translator" is using AI, they don't have to pay them like a real translator.

Thanks for translating this so far. It's a shame it got licensed by people dumb enough to mistranslate the name as "Dirty Thirty Magical Girl".

What a horrible title, it's the kind of title that wanna be licensors that fail immediately (or within a year or two) pick. The world is filled with failed official manga licensors and this new company seems like it'll be the next one.

Tokyopop and Crunchyroll Manga come to mind off the top of my head as people who tried and failed to be manga distributors and given how apathetic the global audience is to anything but the most mainstream manga, and even then only for cheap / free with ads, etc.

If fan translators pick this title up again and do a better job than the "official" people (which happens often) it might not be a bad thing. Odds are, the new company (which apparently uses AI machine translation?) will fail, so where will this title go after all that? Back to Mangadex.
