Also, in the real world, if you are in a toxic abusive relationship then your partner suddenly being nice, would you be able to fully forgive him and accept that he's changed because I don't.

@doradora: i think there are many people like that irl. Many of the women i know get beaten badly/verbal abused by their husbands/boyfriends, but when the husbands/boyfriends give them a tiny bit of kindness they would forgive every mistreatments they had received.
